Abstract:Aluminum alloy ball pin is mainly used in the automotive industry, the packaging technology is one of the core technologies to achieve the?lightweight and driving safety?of vehicle. Due to the complexity of package factors that affect the ball studs, the quality of the packaged components is hard to guarantee. In this case,In this paper, the DEFORM-3D finite element software is used to simulate and analyze the spin riveting of the ball head pin, and the test results are verified. The simulation results of riveting are in good agreement with the test results. The simulation method can be used to study and analyze the rotary riveting process. At the same time, the influence of the geometry of the ball seat on the packaging quality of the ball head pin is studied under the condition of the rotating riveting head. Through the analysis and processing of the data through the orthogonal analysis method and the difference analysis method, the main and secondary relation of the packaging quality of the ball head pin is obtained, which ensures the good condition of the ball head pin encapsulation and meets the use conditions.
