Abstract:Sufficient accuracy and precision are essential for a good measurement system. Accuracy includes bias and linearity characteristics. Hypothesis testing methods, percentages calculating, and measuring capability index are typical methods for bias and linearity evaluation. Through case study and comparison, the difference and performance among the methods are presented. The hypothesis testing is neglecting actual application demands, while the percentage calculating is capable to quickly evaluate whether the bias and linearity is qualified. And the measurement capability index provides a more adequate supplement to the accuracy assessment.
