Measurement and Comparison of Flow Stability for Liquid Flow Devices Based on Different Pressure Stabilizing Methods |

Abstract The straight pipe with enough length can realize the uniform distribution of flow velocity to a certain extent, but the actual effect is not clear. A 5-channel plug-in ultrasonic flowmeter was used to test the liquid flow standard device with sufficient length of straight pipe section, and the velocity data of each height of pipe section under different velocity conditions were obtained. The results show that the velocity distribution on the pipeline section is not uniform, the velocity in the middle of the pipeline is the largest, and it gradually decreases towards the edge, but it is not symmetrical; the velocity distribution on the pipeline section is basically symmetrical at high velocity, and the velocity in the lower part of the pipeline section is larger than that in the middle at low velocity. Therefore, the liquid flow device can not achieve the goal of uniform distribution or complete symmetry of the flow velocity in the pipeline by designing a sufficient length of front and rear straight pipe sections, and the measurement of the flow velocity of the pipeline by the velocity flowmeter needs more complex test and calculation.
