Abstract:The uncertainty in determination of the arsenic contents in Multi-Metal Ores by inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry (ICP-OES) were evaluated. The mathematical model was established to analyze and determine the source of uncertainty. The combined uncertainty and extended uncertainty of the measurement results were calculated. It resulted that the extended uncertainty was 15 μg/g when the contents of arsenic in the Multi-Metal Ores was 427 μg/g. The mainly uncertainty influence factors were introduced by fitting of standard curves and reproducibility of the measurements.
