Abstract:Wedge meter is widely used to get the flow parameters of residual oil, asphalt and oil flow parameters in the process control, an international standards should be draft as soon as possible. It is not sufficient in the research of pressure tapping position, discharge coefficient influenced by pressure tapping method, pipe diameter, value of H/D. the different structure of the wedge meter lead to large error on discharge coefficient, which is adverse to the standard draft.ISO5167-6 Chinesetechnology team decided to use the CFD simulation to study the above problems to draft as soon as possible. Much time and money is be saved by means of CFD simulation. The following conclusions can be drawed according to CFD simulation. 1) the value of discharge coefficient is 0.7002 with a uncertainty below 1.5% when the upstream and downstream tapping possition are 1D. 2) H/D change between 0.2 to 0.6lead todischarge coefficient uncertainty is less than 1.2423%; 3) D change between 40 mmto450mm lead todischarge coefficient uncertainty is less than 1.2102%; 4) A discharge coefficient uncertainty is less than 1.2102% introduced by different tapping method.
